Nicolas Laine Project Manager - Publications, France Resident Fellow FranceNicolas Laine joined Institut Montaigne in August 2024 as Head of Publications, before taking over the Public Finance and Government Effectiveness practice. He focuses on key developments in French political and democratic life and leads the Institute’s "special projects" around these major events. His work covers public finances, taxation, and the economic and social challenges facing the middle class.Before joining Institut Montaigne, Nicolas taught economics in France’s classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles and worked at the Ministry of the Interior on regional development policy and the preparation of the annual Finance Bill.
